In Brief
The Canadian Alumni Singapore (CA-S) was formed in 1979, with the objective to bring past and recent Canadian graduates closer together. It is guided by a Board of Advisors drawn from a pool of senior alumni members and Colombo Plan scholars. The administration and activities are run by an elected Executive Committee, offering a variety of opportunities for members to network and form friendships that last throughout the years. CA-S’ alumni network extends not only among Canadian alma maters, but also to graduates from Singapore and other countries. CA-S is a member of Alumni International Singapore (AIS).
CA-S is committed to promoting the excellence of Canadian higher education, and to further strengthening relations between Canada and Singapore through close association with the High Commission of Canada, and collaboration with Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, Canadian Association of Singapore, and Canadian International School. The 5 organisations, including CA-S, are referred to collectively as “the 5 pillars of the Canadian community”.
Currently, there are over 13,000 graduates of Canadian universities living in Singapore, a wonderfully diverse group of individuals from the private, public and people sectors. From our senior alumni who have contributed immeasurably to the pioneering years of Singapore's national development and growth to our most recent graduates, we share the common bond of an enriching experience studying and living in Canada.
We look forward to working with the many alma mater and community networks in Singapore to bring past and recent Canadian graduates living in Singapore closer together.
